Mundaring Weir

One of the World's greatest engineering projects, and now a popular picnic spot with free
Barbecues, Mundaring Weir is definitely worth a visit. The No. 1 Pump Station is now a Museum, where you
can discover the history of the Weir and the man behind it: C.Y. O'Connor. Plus there are pleasant walk
trails with some stunning views to be enjoyed.

Fred Jacoby Park

Another popular picnic spot (and right next door to us) with free Barbecues,
Fred Jacoby Park contains one of the biggest English
Oak Trees in Western Australia. The Heritage listed tree is over 140 years old, and is surrounded by a
boardwalk, protecting the tree's roots and allowing visitors to get right under it's canopy.

Walk and Cycle Trails

|
There are numerous Walk and Cycle trails in Mundaring, many easily accessible from the Lavender Patch.
The wildflower season runs from July through November, but Western Australia's unique flora and fauna
means there's always something to see at any time of the year.

Mundaring Weir Hotel
|

This Historic Hotel was originally built in 1898 in order to accommodate visitors, who came to view the
construction of Mundaring Weir, and for men working on the site. Having undergone dramatic changes in the
last two decades, it is now also a popular concert venue.

Mahogany Inn
|

The Mahogany Inn dates even further back. Built originally as an army barracks in 1837, this Heritage listed
property now houses the "Heritage Cafe and Restaurant", with a very unique "Bushman's Platter" on the menu.
